DOG FRIENDLY

Bring the dog. We were hoping you would.

The Pack Horse is a dog friendly pub. There are blankets by the fire, water bowls already down and a jar of treats behind the bar. Dogs are welcome in the bar and the garden. All we ask is that dogs stay on a lead while they are on the premises.

Northborough sits on flat, open walking country between the River Welland and the Maxey Cut, so the pub makes a natural end to a walk. Ring ahead and lunch can be on the table when you get back.

WHAT IS WAITING

Four things we keep for dogs.

Blankets by the fire

There is a real fire and there are blankets next to it. Muddy dogs and cold evenings were both taken into account.

Water bowls, already down

You will not have to ask. If the bowl is empty, tell whoever is nearest and it will not be for long.

Treats behind the bar

A jar of dog treats lives behind the bar and the staff will hand one over without being asked.

A big garden

Benches, a picket fence and plenty of room. The garden is where most dogs would rather be on a warm day.

THE ONE RULE

Leads on, please.

Keep your dog on a lead while you are on the pub premises, inside and out. Settle in the bar, or take the garden on a warm day. The lead keeps things simple for the dogs who are less sure of themselves, for the kitchen, and for anyone carrying a Sunday roast past your table.

Walking with a group? Ring with your numbers and roughly when you expect to finish, and we will have food ready as you walk in.

WALK WITH US

Boxing Day, all the family, dogs included.

The Boxing Day village walk starts from the pub at 11am and is back for 12pm. A leisurely walk for all the family, and of course the dog!
